This is Amber. I am reporting on the latest change in the Wilderness on behalf of the Reconnaissance Division. After a week of stability, the Wilderness has shifted.
The geography of this new Wilderness has only a few constants: the terrain is formed of islands that float in a misty, greenish sky. The light is unchanging and enough to see by. Each team sent in describes a different landscape. Some of them boast natural hazards, while others seem quite safe to explore.
It is strongly advised that any visitors go in in groups and turn back if the environment appears dangerous. Some teams report encounters with monsters or other hostile creatures, but these are not omnipresent. More than one Adventurer mentions they found the landscapes of the place familiar.
It is my conclusion, based on the information gathered so far, that the Wilderness may mirror the thoughts or experiences of each visitor. As tempting as that may sound to some, we urge you to take caution when exploring. Do not speak to the creatures that inhabit the place, and be aware that the nature of the place may be unstable.
And for the love of the Maker, do not attempt to leap between the islands unless you possess a means of flight.
[Added somewhat later:] It appears to be possible to move between the islands via [Her hand stops. Inkblot. Then the writing resumes.] gateways that appear as swirls of purple mist. Again, please be advised that there is no knowing where these portals may take you.
[ooc: Here are some pictorial aids for the visuals of the Fade, just in case.]

Date: 2011-08-24 03:37 pm (UTC)Now that I read through the reports again, there seems to be no mention of such. Yet I was certain that they could. I do apologise.

Date: 2011-08-27 03:39 pm (UTC)I believe this place in the Wilderness is familiar to me, and that I've visited it before, in its proper place in the world I come from.

Date: 2011-09-01 02:42 pm (UTC)I have ventured there a time or two. Prolonged stays seem to make me light-headed, much to my regret.

Date: 2011-08-23 05:22 am (UTC)I would also like to note here that I will be sending extra patrols down to check for individuals and escort them to the elevator. My sensors are pinging off the charts on just how dangerous this place is, and I will not be treating this Wilderness lightly.

Date: 2011-08-24 03:37 pm (UTC)That seems a wise precaution, considering we can hardly deter people from entering this Wilderness anyway.
